Recently diagnosed with stage 1 lobular breast cancer in one spot, however when MRI was done a few weeks ago it showed another possible location same breast and in axillary lymph node. These never showed up on earlier mammo a month ago and not on ultrasounds. I had biopsies on both locations today. I also have a gene called ATM. Does anyone have this gene and have more information on this? I have a history of cancer in family and am also leaning toward bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction, but I still have doubts if this the right decision. I'm scheduled for surgery on 10/2. I'm also told Lobular cancer is very rare, has anyone had this type?
