It was a wonderful day, nothing could have ruined it. I was wrong, I recieved a phone call from my father stating my step mother was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. It felt unreal, it still does. I was crushed, confused and hurt. Although hurt, I knew I had to keep my head high, if not for myself then for Gladys. All the little things count. So by participating in walks, donating money, and doing lots of research. I knew I was making a diffrence. I will help my mother get through this with strength, hope, and love. Most of all though please be self aware. Bad things can happen to good people unexpectedly. So enjoy the little things and keep watch.
