Are there any specific vitamins or supplements that help during chemo?

    My oncologist had my list of meds. I was taking before chemo. and I wasn't told to stop any of them while on chemo. I imagine each onc. has a different protocol so ask yours.

    My oncologist agreed with vitamins to decrease neuropathy and mouths sores- b6 B12. Alpha Lipoic acid And glutamine.... Always check With your doctor...

    ask your doctors as some over the counter herbs and pills can effect the chemo. Better safe than sorry !!!! :)

    I was told not to take any supplements during my treatments, but check with ur oncologist ..each case is different

    Mine agreed with d. Tumeric A probiotic And spirulina. I recommend the listerine without alcohol throughout treatment. Don't want mouth sores. Always check with your team. I took mine in.

    I have been advised to avoid supplements as well and to try it dietarily first however, it came up in conversation with the infusion nurses and the oncology dept. pharmacist. I have not asked my doctor.
