I had a mastectomy almost 3 years ago at a relatively young age. Does anyone have any good suggestions for swimsuits for younger women who have had a mastectomy?

Caitlin, I'm guessing you didn't have any kind of reconstruction? I would look up your local mastectomy boutique. They will have swim suits there. Also catalogs for you to look thru. They will measure you so it is fitted correctly. There is 'swimming prosthesis' that can be worn as well. Prayers to you.

Caitlin, Andre' had given an excellent suggestion. Find a locally store that specializes in mastectomy bras etc. They will help you find something that will make you look fabulous! It is best if you can go for a personal fitting. I was disappointed with starting out with catalog choices. Take care, Sharon

Land's End catalog usually has nice mastectomy tankini tops. I read on another site that some women were using small size bath poufs (the netting kind) as an inexpensive alternative to swim forms. $1 a piece at Target and it really works! The don't loose their shape when wet.

My friend went through the same thing recently and she found this online store call Jamu Australia and now doesn’t stop talking about them.
