Is there anything I can do to get my body/immune system prepared for chemo (i.e. take vitamins plus in addition take vitamin C)?

Vicki, I think just eating a well balanced diet and most important to drinking plenty of fluids. Some oncologists will warn you that there are supplements that actually interfere with the action of the chemotherapy. It is best to talk this over with your oncologist to make sure. Take care, Sharon

Make sure your oncologist knows everything you decide to try. Hydrate is my best advice. I did taxotere/cytoxan rest, hydrate and walk on the days I could were the best thing for me. I never ended up in hopital or missed a treatment.

Talk with your onco! I took CoQ10 for the heart before my adryamicin but stopped when I started chemo. Doc okay'ed it before but not after. I mainly focused on diet change and made a big batch of Rebecca Katz' magic mineral broth and have been using it throught

(sorry the done button is right next to the space bar). .... throughout treatment in recipes. Google it! Free recipe online so you dont have to buy her book, although i definitly recommed it. I did the ahead of time bc I wasn't sure about my energy levels and good thing I did. I also made some soups and froze them for bad days. Best of luck to you!

Lots and lots of liquids the day before you do your chemo. Good luck and always always stay positive!!
