I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma, ER +, PR neg.HER2 neg. in July 2019 & had a lumpectomy flowed by 16 radiation treatments. Although the tumor was outside of the duct there were clear margins and no lymph involvement. I’m on Arimidex 1mg for the next 5 years.
My dx was a shock but even more shocking was my 37 yr old daughter’s dx of Stage 4 inflammatory breast ca. In 2015 at 37yrs old.
Because my daughter’s situation is so dire I really have minimized my own dx especially since mine is very common, has a good prognosis and was caught so early.
I feel very stressed yet grateful she is still here almost 5 yrs later. Her cancer has recently progressed. I feel grateful my ca wasn’t worse.
