Your Story

My story starts with finding a lump in August getting a mammogram in October . I was told it was benign . Then my breast became infected I went to my surgeon and was told that she could see me in 2 weeks. I got very sick that night with 102 degree fever and went to the ER. One week later I was told it was cancer and it was early stage after breast biopsy. On dec 15 I had a bilateral mastectomy I did very well for a 59 year old! I had 19 lymph nodes taken out and a small amount of cancer in the 1st sentinel lobe. Pre cancerous cells were found in the breast that was profilactally (good decision there) I have to have radiation for 6 weeks and no chemo because of low onco score! That was the only good news I have really had and boy I was happy! I start radiation on feb 18. I keep my spirits up most days but I do get down. But I am going to fight this with all I have!
