I was diagnosed with IDC & DCIS at the end of December 2012. ER+, HER+, BRCA -, stage 2 with nodes to be determined. With all the tests resulted, it is time to get a plan for treatment. Meeting the oncologist and onc radiologist in a few days, already saw the surgeon. I am extremly anxious and having a very difficult time making decisions, but not due to lack of understanding.
A year later ......... I have survived the 5 months of chemo, 28 radiation treatments, a bileral mastectomy with expanders now in place and only a few more doses of herceptin left and final reconstruction in July. What a year it has been! Moving forward and feeling good about the future : )
