Mammogram in November 2012 compared to November 2011 showed a 2 CM dense area / lump / lesion (pick your favorite word).
Core Biopsy appears to have missed the actual dense area, so biopsy comes back benign. Breast Surgeon (BS) thinks spot is cancer, and orders a wire inserted mammogram, then surgical removal of suspect area. That was last Thursday, Nov 1st.
I should hear back from BS today 11/5 or tomorrow 11/6 as to whether her thoughts were correct - malignant or benign. Then Wednesday or Thursday, I should hear what type of cancer and not sure what happens next.
