Hi Tamara, I asked my oncologist the same question 5 1/2 years ago and was told that it is the date that you are diagnosed. However, you may want to verify with your Dr. Love and Blessings!!

Oh I hate when I hit the wrong button. What I was going to say is just a warm embrace from my husband letting me know that he too remembers is all I need to toast another wonderful valentines day.

I was diagnosed the day before Christmas eve. That's a day I won't forget. How to spoil the families festivities in one phone call !!!

My oncologist told me my anniversary date is the date of my surgery (right mastectomy). That's the date (2/16/12) I'm considered cancer free! (I had chemo before surgery).

Your surgery date..my bday! Just turned 44. My mastectomy, total right, as well, was Feb. 6, 2012. So, this date is considerate my anniversary date not the date I was diagnosed?
