Are there any statistics on breast lumps being cancerous or benign?

    Hi Michelle, a great majority of breast lumps are benign. When a biopsy is performed on a suspicious lump, approx 80% end up being benign. But all lumps should be checked out ASAP along with any changes noticed in the breast. You never want to take that chance!
