Hi Barbara, I haven't been on Abraxane, but I have been on Carboplatin. My first chemo "cocktail" was Adriamycin/Cytoxin & Taxol. My second go around was Gemzar/Carboplatin. On every other treatment I would have Carboplatin alone. My main side effect was a dip in my blood counts & weakness. I had very mild nausea, constipation, & sometimes a metallic taste in my mouth (Carboplatin is a platinum based drug). I lost my hair with my previous treatment of Adriamycin/ Cytoxin & Taxol. But what little I had grown back did not fall out with Gemzar/Carboplatin. :). You might ask your Oncologist about that. I hope this helps. :)

I have had very light hair loss. Yesterday was day 15. Onc said my hair would thin but I would not loose it totally due to having 12treatments once a week. Also on day 3 and 4 I have had terrible stomach cramps.
