Your doctor(s) will advise what treatment(s) will best be suited for you. Everyone's plan is individualized so what you may be advised to do is different for someone else with the same type.

I had triple negative. Had bilateral mastectomy followed by 6 rounds of TAC. No radiation. In the final steps if reconstruction! Everyone is different. Best to talk to your doctors. Good luck to you!!

There isn't anything more for triple negative then what you questioned. Surgery, chemo & radiation. ER positive has a hormone blocking pill that is taken for 5 to 10 years. Do know that triple neg cancer responds very well to chemo. Prayers to you.

Hi, I am triple neg bc. I am getting adriamycin and cytoxan once every two weeks four doses total and then taxol every 2 weeks , four total. Then surgery, then radiation, but have not discussed fully but believe radiation Monday -Friday for anywhere from 30 -35 treatments. I have invasive IDC with lymp node at this point, no surgery yet. My lump was deep by chest wall and I felt the tip of it, that is how I found it. It was 3x8 cm. After first chemo treatment it was 3x3 , after 2nd treatment oncologist could not feel it. I had my 3rd chemo treatment today. Prayers to you and hope you get good results.

1 node was enlarged and biopsied had same cancer as in the duct. I was told they normally find cancer in the nodes under the arm, mine was to the left of my breast, not under my arm. I know when I have surgery that node will be removed, I assume more will be removed , not sure how they determine that if treatment kills the cancer. I have to ask about that.
