I am a one year survivor this month. I started out stage 1 and ended up stage4 because a "tiny" spot was found on my sternum, which is now gone due to radiation. What I don't completely understand is why didn't I have chemo?

That is a good question for your treating physician. Every situation is different, and therefore should be treated differently. I went to a conference earlier this year and the doctor on the panel suggested that it is almost impossible to even measure treatment data in regards to cancer. He said we should record data in narrative form when talking about cancer, instead of numbers and facts. This is because cancer is a disease of abnormality in an individual. That abnormality can manifest itself in a number of different ways, and therefore, it requires a unique and individual approach to its treatment. I know this is a long answer, but I hope it helps you open up a dialogue with you and your doctor. They can probably better explain why your treatment journey was different and address your concerns about chemo. I really hope this helps!

cancdr is big business, trillions of dollars are made by the medical treatment. it is the goose that or geese that lay the golden eggs. who wants to cure it, just treat it and keep the goose on the nest. If you have the disease today and no cure ' thank a group of con men who took my son . PAUL RICHARD ERVIN, JR TO COURT IN ANN ARBOR, MI AND WON THE LAW SUIT , IN WHICH I TRIED TO REPRESENT HIM, AGAINST A LEGAL GROUP WITH ENDLESS MEANS. WHEN HE CALLED, I REMINDED THATA I HAD NEVER HANDLED A CORPORATE CASE. KNEW VERY LITTLE ABOUT CORPORATIONS . MAINLY , i HAD EXPERIENCE IN FAMILY LAW. HE RESPONDED, "THEN I WILL HAVE NO ATTORNEY AT ALL. MY USUAL ATTORNEY SAID HE WILL REPRESENT ME ONLY WHEN I PAY HIM $50.000.00, WHICH I DO OWE HIM. ai DO NOT HAVE THAT MONEY!"

LIVING IN KEY WEST, FL, AT THAT TIME; I TRIED TO DO RESEARCH THERE, (HOWEVER I HAD NO ACCESS TO A LAW LIBRARY. I LEFT PARADISE, AND MOVED IN WITH MY SON AND HIS FAMILY, ANN ARBOR, MI.

i ALWAYS SAW HIM AS A GIFTED STUDENT AND MAN AND EXPECTED MUCH HELP WITH RESEARCH FROM HIM. HE HAD NO TRAINING IN LAW. HIS INTEREST HAD ALWAYS BEEN SCIENCE AND RESEARCH.

I THOUGHT WE WOULD WIN BECAUSE WE WERE IN THE RIGHT AND AT THAT TIME, I BELIEVED TRUTH AND RIGHT WOULD PREVAIL IN A COURT OF LAW, ESPECIALLY A FEDERAL COURT!.

THE COURT DATE WAS A "BLOOD BATH. I WAS WAY IN OVER MY HEAD, OUT OF MY PLACE, AMONG UNSCRUPULUS MEN WITH PLENTY OF MONEY TO HIRE EXPERIENCED LAWYERS, WITH PLENTY OF OFFICE HELP. iI WAS DOING MY OWN RESEARCH AND TYPING, EVERYTHING..

I EVEN FELT TO BLAME FOR TAKING THE CASE EVEN THOUGH I REALIZED MY LIMITATIONS. I AM STILL NOT SURE WHETHER OR NOT MY SON BLAMES ME FOR LOSING HIS BUSINESS, TO WHICH WHICH HE HAD DEVOTED HIS LIFE !
-I WAS ONE OF THE MANY CANCER FREE WOMEN, ALONG WITH ALL MY FRIENDS , WHO DONATED BLOOD FOR HIS RESEARCH. WE WERE PLEASED TO FIND THAT I AND MY FRIENDS HAD PLENTY OF MAMASTATIN IN OUR BLOOD. WE WERE PROTECTED AGAINST CANCER BY OUR OWN BODY.
