My guess and I'm not a doctor is it may be low due to the bronchitis as your body is fighting an infection and needs WBCs to help fight it off. Perhaps something else is going on? You say your doctor is monitoring it so that's a good thing. I...

You say your doctor is monitoring it so that's a good thing. I was talking with a gal while we were awaiting RT one day and she's battling rectal cancer. She's doing chemo and RT at the same time and one weekend she ended up in the hospital with dehydration and her kidneys almost shut down. They elected to stop the chemo. temporarilly and the next time I saw her, about a week and half later she had gone on a camping trip with her hubby. The body can be a "bugger" sometimes and with all that you have going on it doesn't help I'm sure. Take care of yourself and may those WBCs come up. Betti
Thanks Betti !

But I am so sick with bronchitis ( probably because of the low WBC) that it has me worried that there could be a problem and wondered if anyone else had a slow return to normal WBC's.

Everyone reacts differently. If you add anything like bronchitis it does take a long time.
