Jenny, I'm sure I will be corrected if I am wrong, but iwas told that age plays a factor in the testing. Since your aunt is 72 , I don't think that testing would be recommended. I believe that it is done if a close relative is 50 or younger when she is diagnosed, or if 2 or more close relatives die from bc. I believe that there is more likely a genetic link when bc occurs at an earlier age. And the older we all get, our risk increases.
