For the past 6 weeks I have been having pain in my left nipple. My GP sent me for a mammogram and Ultrasound and nothing showed up. I'm having intense pain most days and the breast in itchy especially around the nipple.

You should get a second opinion. Make an appointment with a breast specialist so that you can have peace of mind.
