Started w/discharge, itchy. Extreme pain, warmth for week, now little pain. MRI showed spot deep in the breast. Next I go for a targeted ultrasound & surgeon. Anyone had these symptoms? What’s the % that it is BC? I'm 47. Mom, Grandma had BC in their 70

I didn't have any discharge. My symptoms were a slight bruised appearance, some swelling, pain, and my nipple had begun retracting. But everyone's symptoms are different (or not at all). And I'm 49 & had no family history of breast cancer. That's good that you're doing the needed tests. I had several micro calcifications & unfortunately my lump was missed by a mammogram & ultrasound. Our breasts tend to be on the dense side at our age and harder to read. Just make sure they give you a sufficient answer. I've found through all of this...we have to be our own advocate. Best wishes to you.

I was diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer this year. Same symptoms. I don't want to alarm you but I am a straight shooter because that is what I want from people. I am 47. I had a lumpectomy in Feb. radiation and chemo was not an option for me because My DCIS was negative for hormones. I chose a double mastectomy because I didn't want to spend the rest of my life worrying about my cancer returning. I have 3 children and 1 grandson. I wanted to live a full life without a constant worry. Mastectomy is such a personal choice and you may decide not to go that route but I would not change my decision. It will not be an easy journey. I had so much support from family and friends. It changed my life spiritually. I love life and having my breast did not define who I am. The best of luck to you. May God Bless You!!!

Can you tell me how you were diagnosed & how long it took. Is there any other tests I should have done? Thanks
