I have one drain but in the last 2 days, it has been hurting me so bad. Could that mean something else is wrong?

I think the longer I had them the more they hurt. Steeler Girl is right. No sign of infection either - red, warm, I'm sure it's fine. Be sure it's not clogged. Pinch & milk it from the top. Call them to be safe. Prayers to you.

I hated my drain so bad. I had it in for 4 weeks. It hurt so bad after a while that I needed a pain pill to sleep. If its draining and not leaking its probably ok but best always to call your nurse to keep them aware of how you are feeling.

I had 2 drains and they were more a nuisance than anything else but I didn't have any pain with them.

Drains were the worst. Thankfully, someone on this site recommended using ice packs on the incisions. I used packs of frozen peas on the drain incisions. That really helped with the pain for me.
