Any suggestions to alleviate bone ache? I got a shot of neulasta the day following my first treatment to boost white blood cells and I am uncomfortably very achy.

Claratin is also what my nurses recommended. I haven't tried it yet as I suffered from horrible headaches with the nuelasta shot.

Oops...I didn't finish. I tried it and it does help. You take one an hour before your shot. Then daily for five days.

Yes, I don't know why Claritin works for so many...but it does. I combine it with my pain meds. Much less pain. :)

Hi Lori, on my breast cancer support boards other women have sworn taking Claritin helps with their bone pain from Neulasta. I tried it

That's ironic. I used to work for the company that makes claritin. I wonder why that works for this issue? I'll have to investigate, but will definitely try it! Thanks!!!

Lori, I take that same shot each treatment and my dr told me to take 2 Tylenol and 2 Advil/Motrin together for a couple of doses. It sure works for me. FYI I take my first dose right before the actual shot. Hope that helps! Good luck. Leann

I've found that just using ibuprofen helps. But my doctor said I could use half a prescription pain killer if it was really bothering me.
