Saw an ad for Luvena prebiotic vaginal moisturizer at GYN office. Kind of expensive. Has anyone tried it ?

I just saw my medical oncologist this morning for a regular six month check up. I raised this very question. She recommended Replens.

It says that it restores vaginal health and mentioned breast cancer patients. Supposedly helps prevent yeast infections and restores proper ph , as well as moisture. Don't know if it is true. I guess I'll try it and the Replens. I keep getting urinary tract infections, I don't know if this would help or not

Oh got it. I learn so much before it happens. It's great. Thanks for setting me straight. Forgot conveniently that this too happens.

Is KY out of the bed? What should we avoid in this area. I guess I haven't had this conversation yet.

My nurse practitioner suggested olive oil or coconut oil.

I think the idea is daily moisture, like replenish rather than lubricant when doing it (heehee)

Problem is that any product that contains glycerine causes candida/yeast infection.

Thanks for asking, Lou. Yes, I did on Thursday, and I had my Neulista injection Friday. Other than the effects of the prednisone ( kept me wired and sleepless) it went well so far for this first round. I am drinking lots of water and walked two miles today. I am sure the challenges increase, but I want to stay on top as much as I can with God's help and I am living in the moment. Mary DeNoble

Mary, I am so glad that you are doing well. And what an accomplishment to have one treatment behind you. Yeah !
