I was 19 the first time I was diagnosed. It's hard especially when you're young. Treat it aggressively. Hopefully you caught it early.

I am 34 and diagnosed on 9/19/11. WE will survive and educate everyone we see, because the more people that ask questions, the more people will be educated. You will get through this. Follow everything your doctor says and BELIEVE!! Sending you all the support and love from Canada!

I'm so sorry you have to go through this so young. I'm 31 and just had a bilateral mastectomy. There have been so many advances in the treatment and reconstruction. You will survive! It's a rough road but there are so many young women that have gone through it and are living full lives. Look up young survival coalition and you can chat with a lot of other young women going through this. Best of luck. Sending hugs your way.

Hi Nabega. You post touched my heart! I do not have breast cancer but I am supporting a woman that does and I can tell you this...it is very important to work with your doctors, eat right, stay positive and know that you are a FIGHTER. It is important to keep your body, mind and soul strong for this battle but you can win it! Be strong my sister! :)

Oh Sweetie, I am so sorry to here such horrible news from someone as young as yourself. I'm thirty years your senior and was diagnosed on August 5, 2011 and still find it hard to deal with. But do know that world has made great advances in fighting this disease as long as you are aggressive in seeking treatment, YOU WILL LIVE! I pray that you have the strong support network that you will need to help you get through this difficult period in your life. Be Strong!
