Am having the drain taken out tomorrow morning. Can anyone give me a run down of what to expect?

They had me take a deep breath and blow it out. As I blew they pulled the tube. Ez breezy.

Had mine took out last Friday. Took 3 deep breaths n didn't feel a thing! Did feel just little prickle when they snipped stitches. No biggie! Don't worry!

No pain, it does feel a little weird but it does feel really good to have them gone.

You're probably already done...but I agree with everyone else. I remember feeling surprised at how deep the tubes were in which is evident when the surgeon pulls them out. But it doesn't really hurt. Just feels strange! The little scar area where the drains were still feels tender to me...anyhow, no big deal!

Just a snip of the stitches and a little tug doesn't hurt at all. Don't worry

It's easy you'll be fine . It hurts for a second but I was dancing because I felt so good going out of the office. Request physical therapy it made all the difference with the expanders .

My nurse was great :) She talked me through it, told me she was cutting the stitches, then asked me how the expanders were feeling and if I was feeling any pain. After I answered, she asked me if I was ready for her to pull the drain out...I winced and said yes. She laughed and showed me that she had already pulled it out while we were talking :) It's a piece of cake!

I felt a slight tug but, no pain . The anticipation was the worst part.

Rosanna, We are all pretty much in agreement.... don't lose sleep over it. For me, it was quick, painless and felt like a tube was being dragged from underneath my skin.....WEIRD! Take care, Sharon
