D.W. I hate to hear of a woman living under these thoughts and waiting for the other shoe to drop. What I would do is ask for an MRI. They can find the very tiniest of breast cancers that way. I --wish-- I would have asked for.... or demanded to have an MRI when they could not get a clear mammogram of my breast 7 months before I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The dread is finding breast cancer... but you would be amazed how that dread turns into "thank God, they found a tiny breast cancer at the very earliest stage." Just my thoughts in 20/20 hind-sight. Take care, Sharon

Yay for a benign find!! Don't let it make you slack, however. Keep checking yourself and always, always have lumps checked out. I had a benign at 28 and a malignant at 52. Not saying you will of course, not at all... but just saying - always get your mammos and always get lumps checked. Congrats on the results!

Have you had a gentic evaluation to check for BRA1 and BRA2 genes? Talk to your doctor does he think you are at risk. Does he recommend any preventative drug therapy ?

I have had 7 biopsies on the right and am going in tomorrow for 1 in the left...I am going to fight for an MRI this time because I too am tired of the six month checks and wondering if this mass will be the one that has the cancer.
