I don't know what taxol is but this darn tamoxifen is causing me to almost burst into flames! Sharon, I need to borrow that paper towel!

Oh I am going to take a wild stab at this...YES, YES, YES! I am SOOOOO sick of sweating, arrrgh! I am sitting in front of my trusty little fan, with my trusty paper towel in my hip pocket. I swear I could melt a glacier in the middle of an Antarctic winter. Drip, drip, Sharon

Could be the steroids if you're taking them. If you're having sweats, tell your oncologist. He/she may lower the dosage.

Im on taxol, have 2 treatments left...and YES, my hot flashes are worse w/the taxol. After taxol i start the tamoxifin & i hear the hot flashes continue. ;( oh well...if it helps rid the cancer- then im ok with it. ;) keep fighting like a girl!

I carry a little battery operated two bladed hand heald fan and the old fashion accordion type paper fans with me at all times. These work great!

I keep a wet wash cloth with me at all times! My husband told me he feels like he's at the North Pole!

Thanks for the chuckles ladies. Yep hot flashes suck and I think we all have extremely intense hot flashes due to the meds we are on. But hey misery loves company i think I'll get a fresh paper towel and pass it around. :)
