I discovered my cancer because it was painful. Maybe God was showing me. I wasn't supposed to have another mammogram for ten months. It was stage 2 and aggressive. I would not have survived 10 months.

There's a long family history of not getting proper medical treatment- me included. So when the pain in my breast became persistent and made certain movements difficult then I finally paid attention to what my body had been telling me for a long time. At the time of diagnosis I was stage 3 and it had spread to many nodes. I am so lucky to be alive. Blessed be.

That is the problem with cancer: it is not painful except the tumor is pressing some nerve or is in as advanced stage!
