Had my second round of chemo this past Friday, and am really losing my hair now. It was cut short after my first session. Any suggestions for speeding up the shedding?

I had a friend that does hair shave my hair n then I just put on my wig. Much easier than watching all my long hair come out.

After I had mine cut short (around day 16), I woke up to a "fur" pillow a few days later.... I had purchased a wig, so I had my friend buzz my head. It was the best decision for me, so I wouldn't have to deal with the shedding!! Good luck with the rest of your treatment!!

I took my horse trimmers and buzzed the rest of my hair off. You can go to a barber/hairdresser and do the same thing. The stubble that was left, just kept getting scrubbed off with each shower I took. I was left with a magnificant chrome-dome! I hope you have some lovely scarves, hats, or wigs. Hang in there.... it will all grow back just like before. Take care and please keep in touch with us. Hugs, Sharon

Might sound crazy, but when mine starting falling out before I cut it, I vacuumed it with a wand attachment to keep the shedding around the house. Then I got a buzz cut when I got fitted with my wig, and then as the buzz cut hair fell out I used a lint roller. Not

Oops - posted too fast. Meant to say, not glamorous but worked well at keeping it contained. Best wishes!

After my first chemo I cut my hair short. After the second chemo I went to my hairdresser and asked her to shave my head. I felt better than watching it come out slowly. I felt i had more control I hated seeing the hair all over the place. I bought a wig and I have many hats. I made sure to have fun hats. Good luck and remember the hair comes back and even better.

On day 14 my hair started falling out. On day 16 I had my husband shave it to 1/4 inch. Then I used a sticky roller gently over my head once or twice a day to catch the loose hairs without mess! Worked great!!! I finished the dose dense AC an have had 2 taxol as of today. I still have I little sparse buzz cut as it never fell all out. Still have 10 weeks to do we will see.
