Any tips on how to relieve a sore mouth caused by chemotherapy? Had my first cycle five days ago and it's already very tender

Talk with your team and see what they recommend as they all have their own protocol. During every infusion my nurse would ask me if I had any mouth sores or not.

Thanks Betti. I'm having a dressing change tomorrow so I'll ask then. Been sucking on crushed ice!

I bet crushed ice feels good. I never had any sores so didn't need to use anything.

I hope the mouth sores have been resolved by now. I started getting them early in chemo, but got some Biotene toothepaste, brushed my teeth with it twice a day and always swished it around inside my mouth before spitting it out. The sores cleared up within a couple of days and I didn't get them again.
