Am just wondering if anyone knows how long after a mastectomy you'd have to wait for a large tattoo to be done to cover the scar. Am thinking 9-12 months after treatment but wondered if anyone has had this done. TIA

I would think you need to talk with your doctor(s) regarding a time-frame. I had a unilateral mastectomy 4+ years ago and my scar has never really been noticeable.

I had a double mastectomy in 2013'.. as I have had no reconstruction and no nipples .... so I had nothing on my front and to me I looked like a child .... so about 18 after surgery I had a few special tattoos done .. the best part some of my chest was still numb which helped !!! I don't have any tattoos over any scar tissue .... also some tattooist done like or feel uncomfortable about tattooing boobless chests ... so find someone who you feel comfortable with and ask them as they are the experts!! Good luck with it. 🌷
